Public parks are great places to spend time with friends and family. Many of these parks feature a fishing pond, BBQ grills, gazebos, paved walking paths, and playgrounds. A few of the best parks in Surprise even feature events and activities for all ages. And while they may not be as exciting as those in downtown Phoenix, they are well worth the visit.
The Surprise Community Park, located right near Surprise Stadium, city hall, and regional public library, is filled with fun things to do. It's near the epicenter of city events, and you can easily access it by driving down Bell Rd. The park is also accessible from the library and aquatic center parking lots.
Dick McComb Park is a good place for families with young toddlers. It has a small playground, along with a play structure geared toward older children. It's also close to bathrooms and a splash pad. It's open from 6am to 10pm. During the summer, the park also has a skateboard ramp and an outdoor basketball court.
Marley Park is another excellent place to go for a family bike ride or a stroll in the evening. The park has 18 themed parks connected by a tree-lined Arbor Walk. There's no end to the fun in these parks, so there are plenty of opportunities for every member of the family to enjoy the park.
