There are homes that feel like someone actually lived in them, loved them, and put thought into every corner. This is one of those homes. From the warm hardwood floors that run through the living spaces to the board and batten wall detail in the main living room, every inch of this Glendale home has been touched with intention and personality. The living area is generous and welcoming, the kind of space that naturally pulls people together. French doors open directly to the covered back patio, making the transition from inside to outside feel seamless and effortless. That patio, with its exposed wood beam ceiling and ceiling fan, spills out into a spacious low maintenance backyard shaded by mature trees, giving the whole property a sense of privacy and calm that is rare to find. The kitchen leans into character rather than away from it. A farmhouse apron sink, terracotta subway tile backsplash, butcher block countertops, and bold checkerboard flooring come together in a way that feels curated without trying too hard. It is the kind of kitchen that makes you want to cook something. The bedrooms each bring their own energy. The primary suite is warm and restful with rich hardwood floors, a bold accent wall, and a barn door entry that adds just the right amount of charm. The en suite bath carries a sage green vanity with gold hardware and an ornate mirror that gives it a boutique feel far beyond its footprint. The secondary bedrooms are equally expressive, with coffered ceilings, built-in wardrobe cabinetry, and details that make each room feel considered rather than generic. A brand new AC installed this year means the one thing you cannot see is already handled, and handled well. The backyard has room to grow into whatever you want it to be, with a storage shed on the side, mature desert landscaping, and a patio built for spending time on. This home has been lived in well. Now it is ready for someone new to do the same.

Glendale Homes For Sale

Glendale began in the mid-1880s when William John Murphy dredged a 40-mile stretch of the Arizona Canal. Mr. Murphy was paid in land, not in cash, and in order to profit from his labor, he had to sell Glendale AZ real estate. Thus, Glendale was born. In order to provide access to his new community, Murphy also built an 18-mile-long diagonal road which he christened Grand Avenue.

The 1890s brought a colony of seventy River Brethren families to Murphy’s new town; the River Brethren is a breakaway group of the Mennonites. The intention was to form a temperance colony, a town where no alcoholic beverages were allowed. Settlers attracted to Glendale's ban on alcohol continued to pour in. Thankfully, today, you can enjoy a night out at Glendale’s Westgate Entertainment District, complete with microbreweries and wine bars.

The city of Glendale prides itself on it’s past, and the historic district is full of gorgeous, historic Glendale AZ homes for sale. Historic Glendale homes range from early 20th century Art and Crafts style to Spanish Revival and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Derby House. These are unique homes and full of character.

There are plenty of new homes here too; this city has been growing ever since William John Murphy built Grand Avenue, and you can find Glendale AZ homes for sale from every era, in all price ranges.

If you are a hockey fan, Glendale might just be your city; the Gila River Arena is the home of the Arizona Coyotes. The 19,000 seat arena also hosts a wealth of world-famous performing artists, and was named the best new major concert venue in North America.

Likewise, the University of Phoenix Stadium is the home of the Arizona Cardinals. This is one of the best places in the country to enjoy NFL football. And Glendale has not forgotten the baseball fans; Camelback Ranch is the spring training home for the Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The amenities in Glendale are excellent, from shopping and dining at the Westgate Entertainment Center, to high-end shopping at the Tanger Designer Outlet Mall. You can even buy farm-fresh produce in town, at the Tolmachoff Farms; the family has been farming for four generations.

Glendale AZ homes for sale are affordable, with prices averaging 8% lower than the rest of Arizona. The overall cost of living here is affordable too. Glendale has grown to be a diverse city that has a lot more in its future.
