City of Surprise,
The Mayor, Joan Shafer and the six city council members of Surprise have defined
the strategic vision for the city of Surprise as: “Surprise defines vibrant

amenities”
 Located in the
far northwest valley of Phoenix AZ, Surprise is spring training
home to the KC Royals and the Rangers. Great family fun and tickets start as
low as $6.00. Other activities that you can partake in are hiking the White Take
Mountain Park or enjoying the West Valley Art Museum
or the Heard Museum West. If you are into golf this is your place. Surprise
has several golf courses you can try ~ Arizona Traditions, Corte Bella,

known for it’s retirement amenities and is home to many snow birds in the

The City of Surprise has successfully lured United Auto
into joining the ranks of car dealers that will be making the 303 Auto Show
home. Already nine major domestic dealerships have signed on and United
Auto Group has said that they will bring
Toyota and
another unnamed foreign brand.
Some of the incentives that were given
are that United Auto Group would be reimbursed 50 percent of the sales tax
its dealers generate over 10 years. Before the 10 years starts, the company
would be reimbursed the fees it paid for all city permits, which is
estimated to be $200,000 for each car brand. Finally, the city would
reimburse the company an additional $10,000 for publicity, provided that the
company mentions its Surprise location in advertising. Similar incentives
are being proposed for the domestic dealers.
The 303 Auto Show will span 120 acres
with an additional 60 acres for growth and is part of Westcor’s Prasada.
Prasada when fully built will encompass four square miles.
